The Greek Golden Visa, initiated in 2013, is an investment-based residency program that enables non-European Union (EU) nationals to secure Greek Residency through real estate investments in Greece. In return for a real estate investment as low as €250,000, the program provides a five-year residence permit. However, starting from July 31st, 2023, the minimum investment threshold has been raised to €500,000 for specific regions.
The Golden Visa program offers numerous advantages, including the privilege to reside in Greece, visa-free travel within the Schengen zone, and access to a high-quality education and healthcare system.
This visa is valid for five years and can be extended indefinitely as long as the investment is maintained. While there is no requirement to spend a specific duration in Greece, a minimum one-day visit every five years is mandatory.
After residing in Greece for seven years, individuals become eligible to apply for Greek citizenship, providing access to an EU member state. This opens up opportunities for economic growth, business ventures, and employment.
